(<em>And for anyone who&rsquo;s written BDD tests: Gherkin is the syntax in Cucumber, and the parser compiles it into objects the project literally calls pickles. I didn&rsquo;t plan that.</em>)</p> <p>But I like to think gherking is synonymous with pickling. Putting the cucumber in the brine and letting it transform. That&rsquo;s what I hope the act of writing does to me. That I soak in it and change a little, day by day.
